California Nuclear Risk Map

5/12/2022

Red = blast risk, Green = fallout risk, Brownish = fallout and blast risk.
From Alex Wellerstein (NukeMap guy) on Twitter. As I figured in my own analysis, the Oxnard/Port Hueneme/Camarillo area is at risk from the Navy bases. Simi and Thousand Oaks are a surprise. Probably from megaton warheads over the San Fernando Valley or at Rocketdyne. The megaton warheads are gone as are Rocketdyne, so those cities are probably going to be okay. Source: High Risk Areas: For Civil Preparedness Nuclear Defense Planning Purposes
